Anies Salam 2 Fingers, Gerindra DKI: That Doesn't Break the Rules
JurnalFakta. Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan was highlighted by PDIP DKI for holding up a two-finger greeting at the Gerindra Party event during working hours. DKI Gerindra Party answered, Anies did not violate the rules.
"That does not violate the rules," said Chairman of the DKI DPRD Gerindra Party faction Abdul Ghoni on Tuesday.
He considered Anies was always wrong in the eyes of the PDIP and the parties that did not carry Anies. Even though Anies was present at the Gerindra Party National Conference in Sentul, Monday, yesterday because he was invited. If not invited, Anies will not attend.
"In terms of politics, yes, surely what Mr. Anies has done is wrong, whether it is true or false. But if it is from the perspective of party activities, it is because there is a national celebration," Ghoni said.
He believed, Anies understood the rules. He also saw many other regional heads present at the event yesterday. PDIP previously also asked Bawaslu to proactively investigate the presence and actions of Anies with two fingers, sign the campaign of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 02, Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno.
"Yes, please, Bawaslu must be more observant about the matter whether it is a violation or not," Ghoni said.
Previously, Chairman of the PDI-P DPRD faction Gembong Warsono highlighted Anies who was present at the Gerindra event and held up a two-finger greeting. "Bawaslu actually does not have to wait for the report, it must be proactive. I am sure the Bawaslu already knows," Gembong said.
The pro-Jokowi volunteer, the National Guard for the People (GNR), said Anies violated the Election Law. GNR will report Anies to Bawaslu on the alleged presidential-vice presidential campaign on a working day. "Tomorrow (Tuesday, 18/12) we will go to the Election Supervisory Body to report the alleged violation of the campaign of public officials," GNR spokesman Agung Wibowo Hadi told reporters on Monday.
